DESCRIPTION
The Bugarama Crossborder Market is a large-scale construction project aimed at transforming the trading activities between Western Rwanda and Eastern DRC. The project includes the construction of new modern market and commercial buildings, parkings, and public spaces.
SCOPE
The project scope includes the demolition of old structures, site preparation, construction of new buildings, installation of utilities, landscaping, and the creation of public spaces. The project also includes the preservation and integration of historical buildings into the new design.
FACTS
Upon completion, the project is expected to boost the local economy, create jobs, increase property values, and improve the quality of life for Rusizi residents in particular and Rwandan community in general. It will also enhance the city’s reputation as a leading destination for business and tourism.
